Senior Lead Software Engineer - React Frontend

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead and develop high-quality web applications using React libraries.
- Implementing state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Context API) to handle data flow within the application.
- Collaborate with designers to translate Figma designs into functional UI components.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs with ADA compatible.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth.
- Contribute to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
- Strong understanding of Figma and other design tools.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Good understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Experience with build and deploy tools like Webpack and Vite.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience with other JavaScript frameworks like Angular or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Practical cloud native experience.
