Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant II to join our finance team in Irving, TX. This position plays a key role in preparing general ledger journal entries , supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) . As part of our healthcare accounting team, you will gain exposure to multiple functional areas, including cash accounting, fixed assets, payroll, corporate accounting, inventory, investments, lease accounting, joint ventures, and more .

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with at least 2+ years of experience looking to grow within a dynamic healthcare organization.

Schedule: Regular Hours (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries for assigned accounting functions.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal financial reporting standards.
• Analyze financial data, prepare reconciliations, and provide supporting documentation.
• Review and evaluate journal entries for accuracy, classification, and impact on financial statements.
• Maintain financial dashboards and reports for Information Management, Clinical Engineering, and TechSource .
• Partner with the Corporate Financial Reporting team to support the month-end close.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support operational decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required).
• 2+ years of accounting experience (general ledger and healthcare accounting strongly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience working in healthcare accounting or a similar industry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
