Delivery Driver (Construction Materials)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our Gainesville, TX location. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our products are delivered accurately, safely, and on time to job sites and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

For Delivery Drivers:

• Safely operate company trucks and trailers for deliveries across North Texas.
• Load and unload doors, trim, and building materials safely and without damage.
• Verify delivery contents and obtain signatures and delivery confirmation.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of delivery vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with warehouse staff, Project Managers and customers.

Job Expectations:

• Experience in pulling trailers (gooseneck and bumper pull).
• Dependability: Show up on time and ready to work every day.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Teamwork: Work closely with warehouse, manufacturing, project management, and driver teams to meet delivery schedules.
• Safety: Follow all company and DOT safety guidelines.
• Customer Focus: Represent Abel Door & Trim with professionalism and a positive attitude at every delivery.
• Flexibility: Willing to assist with warehouse tasks when delivery volume is low.

Requirements:

• Experience in pulling trailers (gooseneck and bumper pull).
• Valid driver's license (for drivers); CDL not required.
• Clean driving record (for drivers).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Previous delivery or construction material handling experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.

Schedule:

• Full-Time : Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (hours may vary slightly depending on route schedules).
