MEDICAL INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST

Are you an experienced Medical Insurance Verification Specialist looking for a full-time opportunity? If so, join a well-established medical clinic in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio, dedicated to providing top-notch healthcare services. We’re seeking a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills to verify insurance coverage and ensure proper billing for medical services.

PAY/SCHEDULE/LOCATION/BENEFITS:

• $16.00-$18.00/hr (based on experience)
• Monday-Friday office hours (No weekends!)
• Medical, Dental, and Vision +
• Stone Oak area, San Antonio, TX
• Weekly Pay via direct deposit or pay card

MEDICAL INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST DUTIES:

• Verify insurance coverage levels for each patient
• Communicate with insurance companies to ensure coverage for required procedures
• Educate patients on their insurance benefits, including coverage and out-of-pocket costs
• Process payments for services not covered by insurance
• Obtain necessary referrals for patients whose insurance does not cover certain procedures
• Update patient records and documentation related to insurance and billing
• Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and keep accurate records of verifications and communication

MEDICAL INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass a background check and drug test (Pre-employment requirements)
• High school diploma or GED (Required)
• 2+ years of experience in medical insurance verification (Required)
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing (Preferred)
• Familiarity with medical terminology (Preferred)
• Previous customer service experience via phone (Required)
• Previous experience working with insurance companies (Preferred)
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Tattoos must be covered while on duty to maintain a professional appearance per client policy
