The Stanley Auto Group is searching for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our Stanley Ford dealership located in Sweetwater, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader dedicated to fostering a culture of achievement and servant leadership.
Location: This position is located 2-3 hours from the DFW area, and the successful candidate must be prepared to live within the community surrounding the dealership.
What We're Looking For:
We need a General Manager with a proven track record as an Automotive New Vehicle Franchise General Manager. You'll be responsible for the overall profitability and operational excellence of the dealership by overseeing all departments, including sales, finance, service, and parts.

General Manager Responsibilities:
As General Manager, you'll ensure the dealership's profitability and smooth operation. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Personnel Management:
- Actively participating in the recruiting and hiring process for all positions.
- Ensuring performance reviews and coaching sessions are completed as scheduled.
- Developing and following up on short and long-term goals for each department manager (sales, service, and parts).
- Creating a positive atmosphere through a positive attitude and strong morale.
- Participating in the development and execution of compensation plans (with Platform Manager and HR approval).
- Explaining and ensuring adherence to dealership policies and procedures, with proper documentation of violations.
Daily Operations:
- Submitting annual and monthly forecasts .
- Participating in the completion of monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy.
- Effectively managing the business to ensure forecasts and budgets are met .
- Reviewing daily operations, recommending, and creating improved processes.
- Communicating daily with the comptroller/office manager to review CIT, WIP, and forecast progress .
- Coordinating with F&I personnel to ensure strict adherence to Stanley F&I Product Sales Policy and all local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Building strong working relationships with lenders, manufacturers, and vendors .
- Coordinating weekly meetings with departmental managers to review profitability and efficacy.
- Creating cost-effective advertising programs and tracking ROI.
- Working with department and platform managers to address customer complaints promptly.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of automotive management experience , specifically as a General Manager for a new vehicle franchise.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills .
- Ability to read and understand manufacturer statements, F&I statements, and financial statements.
- Ability to communicate with employees and customers in a positive and uplifting manner .
- Must stay abreast of state, federal, and local regulations affecting dealership operations.
- Must pass a background and drug screen .
- Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle record test.
