Accounts Payable Clerk / Cashiering

: Join our Accounting team at AT&T Hotel and Conference Center as our next Accounts Payable Clerk!Entry-level Accounting Generalist position with primary duties including general cashiering and Accounts Payable. Some College preferred and Hotel or Restaurant Accounting experience desirable. Hotel Front Office or Night Audit experience helpful; knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Opera preferred.

• Expected Schedule: M-F, typically from 8AM-4:30PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Accounts Payable:

• Administers activities of accounts payable, including the timely processing of invoices for payments.
• Answers vendor inquiries regarding payment status.
• Monitors credits and accurately processes credit memos as needed.
• Maintains consistent communication with internal and external entities.

Cashiering:

• Administers house banks to associates and management.
• Prepares daily cash and check deposits for the bank, monitoring any over/short violations.
• Audits house banks as needed.
• Provide denominations to the team ensuring ample funds available.
• Process and post any cash bars when applicable.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Maintain an open line of communication between guests, employees and management
• Assist office in any other administrative duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned

OTHER DUTIES Assimilate into The FLIK Platinum Service culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of FLIK Platinum Service. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Flik from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and standard accounting procedures
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate 10-key calculator
• Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to understand and communicate with employees and guests
• Knowledge of computers and typing skills with emphasis on Excel software

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION High School diploma required College degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum of two years in accounting or hotel front desk/reservations experience. Prior hotel accounting experience highly preferred. Opera experience a plus. Experience with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) a must.
