Irrigation Technician
The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water usage and healthy landscapes. This role requires a current Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Irrigation License preferred and hands-on experience with both commercial and campus-scale systems.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, valves, controllers, and piping.
Program and adjust irrigation controllers for seasonal changes and water conservation.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as leaks, clogs, and electrical malfunctions in irrigation systems.
Perform regular testing to ensure compliance with TCEQ standards and campus requirements.
Coordinate with grounds and landscaping teams to ensure efficient water distribution.
Keep accurate service and repair records.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good working condition.
Qualifications
Required: Current TCEQ Irrigation License (Technician or Installer).
2+ years of experience in irrigation installation, repair, and maintenance (commercial or large-scale properties preferred).
Knowledge of irrigation system design, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift 50+ pounds.
Valid driverâs license and clean driving record.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
