Controller Development Program / Fortune 500
SUMMARY:
·Provides support to the Accounting Department
·Assists in compiling financial reports and performs ad hoc analysis, as required
·Assists the Director of Engineering Accounting to support all Engineering departments
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Month-end close
·Account analysis and reconciliations
·Journal entry preparation
·Perform Internal Control and Sarbanes-Oxley reviews as assigned
·Ad-hoc financial analysis as required
·Prepare annual budgets and conduct monthly budget reviews with department and program management
·Assist the Director of Engineering Accounting in supporting the Engineering departments.
·Assist with other general and cost accounting functions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·Education: Bachelor&rsquos in Accounting Degree required, Master&rsquos Degree preferred
·CPA or CPA candidate required
·A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting is required and no more than 5 years of experience is appropriate for these levels
·Strong computer skills including use of Windows and Microsoft Office Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with people at all levels
·Strong analytical skills and quick learner
·Ability to work independently
·Eager to learn and be challenged
·Demonstrated ability to safeguard confidential information
·Experience in manufacturing accounting preferred
