Cherry Picker Forklift Operator
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Operate cherry pickers, boom lifts, and aerial work platforms safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of equipment and report mechanical issues.
- Position and stabilize equipment on various surfaces and job sites.
- Lift personnel, tools, and materials to elevated work areas.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings, including power lines, structures, and personnel.
- Communicate clearly with ground crew and supervisors.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance checks on equipment.
- Secure equipment properly after use.
- Assist with general labor tasks when not operating the lift (if required).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating cherry pickers or aerial lift equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and fall protection requirements.
- Ability to work at heights without fear.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge (preferred).
- Strong communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work outdoors in varying conditions.
