We have an immediate opening for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to fill the leadership role in a brand-new location of Einstein Bro Bagels in the Katy area. The restaurant manager will be responsible for tracking inventory and ordering supplies, managing daily preparation of menu items, scheduling staff to ensure there is sufficient coverage during each shift, and monitoring the flow of business during each meal service. At the close of each meal, you will reconcile receipts, cash intake, and tips, and lock up cash and other financial records into the safe. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of industry experience, including supervisory roles, and is reliable and trustworthy.

Restaurant Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff
• Create employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing at all times
• Handle paperwork and other administrative duties
• Maintain stock levels and order supplies when necessary
• Manage the budget and keep relevant statistical and financial records
• Ensure that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant patrons and employees

Restaurant Manager Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in a restaurant or related field, with at least 2 years in supervisory roles
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ordering, inventory management, financial tracking and management
• Experience hiring, training, and terminating staff based on needs and performance

• Able to work a flexible and varied schedule based on store needs

• A strong understanding of and deduction to food safety

• Servsafe, or other nationally accredited food safety organization, certified, or the ability to get certification within 30 days of hire

We offer

• Salary between 46,000 and 51,000/year based on experience. During training, salary offers are calculated at an hourly rate until the completion of training.

• 45-hour work week

• Early hours, off Mon-Fri by 2:30pm, 3:30 on the weekend (you must be a morning person)
