GENERAL FUNCTION

Lead and execute on the design, development, and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions, focusing on optimizing and enhancing analytic platforms to meet business requirements for enterprise initiatives and application support. This role involves conducting in-depth analysis of existing analytic systems, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that BI solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational strategy.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with various teams and peers in developing new analytic application functionality, releases, and/or upgrades.
• Analyze and provide feasibility estimates for cost, time, and compatibility with existing systems
• Coordinate and participate in providing operational impact analysis on new projects or enhancements by analyzing technical and functional requirements to ensure feasibility, supportability and meets service levels needed.
• Participate in testing efforts as needed (i.e. identifying appropriate test cases and execution of test cases).
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure proper standards are followed and production supportability is addressed.
• Troubleshoot identified incidents by analyzing functional and technical application errors and provide timely resolution and communication of root cause and status.
• Interface with business users/super users, members of various technology and project teams to minimize recurring issues through use of problem management, communication, and continuous service improvement initiatives
• Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of system Key Performance Indicators
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Generate routine and ad hoc reports
• Prepare and maintain key Standard Operating Procedure documents and service specifications for new and existing solutions to ensure supportability and service continuity

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5+ years with data warehouse experience with track record and understanding of concepts related to ETL, data modeling, data architecture, and analytic design
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working with SAP BI offerings including creation and enhancement of data flows in BW and HANA, performing complex analysis and configuration of BW environment to facilitate custom reporting, custom SAP BW Extractors, complex transformations, advanced DSOs, composite providers, exposing BW models as HANA views, mixed scenarios, HANA Analysis process in BW and performance optimization concepts such as data tiering optimization
• Experience leveraging SAP Business Objects to build universes and analytics/reports
• Possesses strong SQL skills

• Possesses excellent analytical, problem solving, time management and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Possesses an understanding of Ophthalmic services and product offerings
