Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in the Operating Room. Candidates must have Neuro and Ortho/Spine experience. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This position includes a call requirement of one day a week and one weekend a month. The unit features 7 operating room suites and has a staff of 45, including RNs, CSTs, and ancillary support staff. Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, and 6-7 CSTs. Night shift staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CST. The estimated patient ratio is 1:1. The typical equipment used in this unit is various types. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Candidates with trauma center experience will be prioritized. Preferred skills include trauma and orthopedic experience. Typical procedures performed include orthopedic, neuro, robotics, general, trauma, and urology surgeries. The best personality fit for this role is a team player with a positive attitude.
