Staff Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manual test planning and execution, including functional, regression, exploratory, and boundary testing.
• Design and improve QA processes, bug triage workflows, prioritization frameworks, and support rotation structures.
• Coordinate with Product and Engineering to clarify requirements and translate them into test coverage.
• Drive quality ownership across Product, Engineering, and Support rather than treating QA as a final checkpoint.
• Coordinate releases and serve as the final QA gate for go/no-go decisions.
• Validate functionality across configurations, environments, feature flags, mobile devices, and hardware.
• Collaborate with Engineering on CI/CD pipeline status as it relates to testing cycles.
• Lead actionable bug triage meetings and maintain structured test scenarios and defect documentation.
• Provide testing status reports and ensure defects are logged with distinct, actionable root causes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software QA experience with ownership of QA process design beyond test execution.
• Experience leading or facilitating bug triage and prioritization frameworks.
• Track record of influencing quality practices across Product, Engineering, and Support.
• Strong experience with bug tracking tools and structured test documentation.
• Experience writing process documentation for cross-functional audiences.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Product.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI coding or agent tools used as an AI QA Operator to populate test cases and drive end-to-end coverage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Preferred: test automation experience with Playwright, Selenium, or Appium; AI-agent experience for UI and API regression coverage; QA hiring or mentoring experience; and diagramming or process-tool experience with draw.io or Mermaid.
