• Location: Kingwood, Texas 77339 (Houston area healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Operating Room, South Tower, 1st Floor
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: August 18, 2025
• End Date: November 17, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1870–$1920 per week
• Call & Holiday Call: Required for all contract nursing staff
• Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
• EMR System: Meditech

Qualifications – Charge RN Operating Room

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (required for Texas nursing jobs)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Charge RN in the Operating Room
• Clinical experience with trauma (general, ortho, neuro), ortho spine, general, GYN, urology, podiatry, bariatrics, vascular, robotics (DaVinci Xi), organ procurement, and plastics
• Demonstrated leadership, punctuality, dependability, and flexibility
• Preferred: Advanced vascular CVOR (Hybrid OR), thoracic & open heart, endoscopy (EGD and colonoscopy), ophthalmology

Charge RN Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Operating Room nursing team, ensuring optimal patient care and workflow
• Oversee daily OR operations, including staff assignments and patient flow management
• Assist with a broad range of surgical procedures across all service lines except transplant
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Meditech EMR
• Float to Endoscopy as needed to support clinical operations
• Participate in on-call and holiday coverage as required for travel nursing contracts
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and safe healthcare work environment
