This position is based in our office in Austin, Texas.

What you can offer us:

Financial Reporting/Compliance

• Provide monthly reporting results to department leads and assist with updating forecasts.
• Prepare annual and monthly budgets and forecasts.
• Create and maintain reports in ERP to support ad hoc requests for financial information.
• Identify and assist in developing plans to improve financial reporting timeline, visibility, and accuracy while partnering with business leaders.
• Ensure the successful completion of year-end audits and support relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants.

Process Support

• Ensure accounting processes are documented and cross training plans established and executed, ensuring continuity of accounting operations.
• Manage and streamline month-end accounting processes.
• Oversee daily accounting needs including payables, fixed assets, bank accounts, and financial-side inventory

AP Support and Procure to Pay

• Support commercial insurance relationships and contract/legal needs.
• Review weekly payment run and upload to the banking portal.
• Back up AP staff as needed.

Requirements

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or higher
• 3+ years of experience as a GL Accountant
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, nested functions, lookups, sumifs, filter)
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experienced mentor and leader.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Great Plains experience
• Avalara experience
• Knowledge of JIRA
• Concur experience
