Motor Service Manager
Nesco Resource is partnering with an industrial equipment manufacturer in Houston seeking a Motor Service Manager to lead service operations for large industrial motors. This leader will manage a skilled team, oversee repair and maintenance activities, support warranty decisions, and ensure a strong customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily service operations, workload planning, scheduling, and staffing.
- Review repair reports, invoices, and warranty claims.
- Establish service rates and approve adjustments as needed.
- Lead and train a team of motor technicians; conduct hiring and performance evaluations.
- Provide technical oversight on complex repair issues and onsite service needs.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, QA/QC, sales, and customer support teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and support service-related product enhancements.
- Support customer escalations and ensure timely resolution and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 4 years as a motor technician (AC/DC motors, 1000 Client preferred).
- 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Ability to diagnose failures, perform vibration analysis, and troubleshoot complex service issues.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (UL, CE, NEMA, IEEE, etc.).
Additional Details
- Travel required: 25% – 50%
- Technical degree preferred (Mechanical, Industrial, or related).
- Proficiency with MS Office, ERP/CRM tools, and standard diagnostic instruments.
