Associate Project Manager
Service Manager __ In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of small projects with low complexity. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively. This is a remote position, but the ideal candidate will reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone. This role is contributing to the Service Business in the Gulf Region. Main stakeholders are ABB Customers. Key Responsibilities
- Leading the project team allocated to the project.
- Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
- Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Field preferred) and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience; or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
- Project management experience required (PMP certification preferred).
- Strong communicator and team-oriented mind set.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong reputation for customer focus.
- Demonstrated experience with ERP (SAP preferred), MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other office software.
- Must be able to read Engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment.
- Maintain high standards for safety and housekeeping and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
