SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within the accounting and finance team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper coding and approval.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Maintain vendor files and ensure all documentation is up to date.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Calculate and prepare reporting for commissions for the sales team monthly.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including 1099s.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
