Billing and Settlement Specialist Location Remote in Allen, TX :

The CPS Settlement and Billing Team is responsible for the monthly billing, verifying pricing and transaction activities are billed accurately. This team is also responsible for the reconciliation of Jack Henry's Settlement accounts to Fiserv, MasterCard, and Visa. Our team supports JH's internal support teams and JH clients and participates in audit exercises and continuous improvement projects. Currently this role will primarily be supporting billing but will be required to be proficient in settlement too.

This position can be worked remotely within the United States from 8am-5pm CST. Preferably this role will work remotely from Houston, TX.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Utilizes documentation and client agreements to ensure products and services are billed accurately.
• Analyzes and researches vendor expenses for trends and possible issues.
• Collaborates with the sales team to ensure billing software can support pricing and that the clients are billed as expected.
• Collaborates with internal teams to share knowledge and improve billing processes.
• Develops and implements process improvements to better streamline the end of month invoicing process.
• Builds relationships with CPS and corporate teams to improve billing processes.
• Audits third-party invoices to ensure customers are billed accurately and efficiently.
• Prepares client invoice analysis.
• Reviews legal agreements and sets up recurring templates. Updates renewal pricing and pricing associated with product additions.
• Reconciles vendor invoicing and other accounts.
• Proofs and audits monthly invoicing.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

• 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and macros.

What would be nice for you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Works on generally routine assignments, occasionally deviating from defined procedures.
• Able to type accurately and efficiently.
• Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple activities and assignments.
• Able to work with confidential materials and employee information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
