Job Title: Tech Prof-Mechanical, Sr

Job Location:3000 N. Sam Houston Parkway East, Houston, TX 77032

Duties:

Responsibilities include: Innovate equipment solutions for casing equipment that solve challenges during cementing operations. Create 3D models and engineering drawings for new products. Apply industry and internal standards and/or best practices in new product development. Perform engineering analysis to ensure proper functionality of design at operating conditions. Calculations include standard engineering formula, advanced non-linear FEA, and custom derived formula. Select material grades of components with thorough knowledge of material testing standards. Design text fixtures and executes custom and standard testing procedures to evaluate design performance. Create manufacturing and assembly specifications and guidelines. Sustain key products and support manufacturing by addressing request for technical assistance. Witness and advise manufacturing, assembly, and field operations activities to identify potential product improvements. File invention disclosures, patents, and write technical publications.

Requirements:Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Tech Prof-Mechanical, Sr-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Experience with onshore and offshore casing running and cement operations, including running hydraulic simulations and interpreting events from data captured during the job.
  2. Experience in the energy services industry including life cycle of manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, and deployment of new technology for market applications.
  3. Experience in new product design of downhole equipment using Solid Works, finite element analysis, and product data management tools.
  4. Experience with industry standards: API 10F, API 11D1, and API 19AC.
  5. Experience leading and participating in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for reliability assessment at design stages.
  6. Experience with quality assurance practices and standards, including geometrical dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
  7. Experience with creating and executing custom and standard new product validation tests, including flow loop testing, high-pressure/high-temperature testing, and API testing.
