ABOUT THE BEALLS INC. FIELD MANAGEMENT TRAINEE:

 You will be provided a structured learning environment focused on immersing you in all aspects of leading the business and people in a fast-paced retail organization. Your focus as a Management Trainee is to learn all aspects of store leadership. This five-month training position will equip you with the ability to develop vital leadership skills needed to lead the guest experience, people, business, and store operations. The position is structured to provide consistent feedback on your performance and growth throughout your training. 

 

AS A MANGEMENT TRAINEE (MT) A TYPICAL DAY INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

Impact on Business:

  1. Develop skills in leading a legendary guest culture that prioritizes the guest experience in your store
  2. Learn how to effectively evaluate all business reports to drive results around talent, guest experience, business, and store operations
  3. Execute all operational functions needed to lead the business daily
  4. Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently and with a team
  5. Gain knowledge of how to assess store layout, individual inventory levels, and proper handling of merchandise functions within the store
  6. Learn to drive sales and increase guest loyalty through execution of overall company strategies

  1. Learn to recruit, network, hire, and onboard a diverse range of talented associates
  2. Develop the ability to assess associate’s performance and identify any training and development needs
  3. Demonstrate and lead a culture of ethical conduct, accountability, and compliance

  5. Set clear goals and expectations for associates and ensure accountability
  6. Create a sense of teamwork, collaboration, and engagement among associates

  2. Capability to interpret and apply company procedures, policies, and adapt to technology needs

  4. Ability to demonstrate operational agility based on the business and objectives to meet company goals
  5. Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow up on all activities within the store to meet company standards
  6. Capacity to establish goals, guide employee performance, and hold self and other accountable to high- performance standards and goals
  7. Work varying hours and schedules to include mid shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  8. Relocate within the company when required

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A MANAGEMENT TRAINEE (MT):

  1. Bachelor’s or Associate Degree from an accredited university or college
  2. 1-2 years of retail experience recommended, but not required
  3. Adaptable, Motivated, Self-Starter
  4. Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Strong problem-solving skills
  6. Team-building skills
  7. Microsoft Office Suite

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations
  2. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry at least 20 pounds
  3. Must have full body rotation ad mobility (i.e. – bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching)
  4. Must possess reliable transportation
