Our client is looking for a promotable Accountant who has a clear path to Accounting Manager within 12–24 months based on performance in this newly created role open due to company growth.

Here you’ll utilize strong technical and technology skills, enhance policies, maintain accurate financial reports, while supporting the firm’s leadership with financial insights to drive informed business decisions. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a mid-sized, fast-paced professional environment where accuracy, discretion, and initiative are highly valued by founder led leadership.

What You will Do

• Reports directly to the VP of Finance
• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and management reports
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entities
• Own key aspects of the monthly close (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations)
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support internal controls
• Prepare and book revenue recognition and expense accruals
• Manage accounting for capital accounts, contributions, and distributions
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting
• Support leadership with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external partners

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA is valued but not required
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual-based, and partnership accounting
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, queries, data analysis)
• Experience with accounting software like Sage, NetSuite, D365 or related
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Project accounting experience is a plus
