Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday

Essential Duties:
- Perform varied clerical duties for the programs department including data entry, filing, and preparing reports.
- Maintain records and files in hard copy and electronic form; maintain confidentiality of all records and correspondence.
- Assist programs staff in obtaining, preparing and/or copying materials.
- Perform duties including typing correspondence, form letters, accountability forms, status reports and input/output forms in a timely manner.
- Maintain files on department/records, offender records, forms and correspondence sent, received and/or requiring further action.
- Type and proofread records, memos, reports, and forms; copy needed information from one record to another as required. Route accordingly.
- Log and distribute incoming documents and mail, prepare outgoing mail, answer telephone and convey messages.
- Operate office equipment including computers, copiers and printers.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED).
- One (1) year full-time, wage-earning clerical or secretarial experience to include computer operations.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred.
- A valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
- Must successfully complete Correctional Awareness Training (CAT), as approved by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).
- Must successfully complete annual in-service training and pass an annual background, both of which must be approved by TDCJ.
