What's your day like?As a new Full-Time Maintenance Technician at the City of Fair Oaks Ranch, you can expect a variety of engaging responsibilities each day. Your primary tasks will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the facilities are clean and functional. You'll work hands-on with tools and equipment, conducting repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units. Daily inspections will be crucial to identify potential problems before they escalate. You will collaborate closely with other team members to create efficient workflows and solve problems as they arise.
Communication with the public and staff will also be essential, ensuring that all interactions reflect our commitment to excellence and customer focus. Your expected schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, providing you with a consistent work routine to thrive in your role.
Are you the Maintenance Technician we're looking for?To be successful as a Full-Time Maintenance Technician at the City of Fair Oaks Ranch, you will need a solid foundation of technical skills and practical experience. Familiarity with street maintenance and drainage system maintenance is essential; hands-on experience in these areas will enable you to effectively identify and tackle issues. Proficiency with basic tools and equipment used for repairs and maintenance tasks is also a must.
In addition to technical skills, problem-solving abilities will be crucial as you work on various maintenance challenges throughout the day. Strong communication skills will help you collaborate with your team and provide excellent service to the community. Being detail-oriented and organized will allow you to manage tasks efficiently and maintain high standards of safety and integrity in all your work.
A proactive attitude toward learning and adapting will greatly benefit you in this role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- experience with street maintenance
- experience with drainage systems maintenance
