Mobile Heavy Equipment & Diesel Technician — Odessa / Midland, TX

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Transwest Mobile Truck Repair is expanding our Midland operation and looking for experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment & Diesel Technicians to support customers throughout the Permian Basin. This is not an entry-level role — we need technicians who can work independently to diagnose complex diesel and hydraulic issues, while representing our company professionally in the field.

You'll travel directly to customer locations performing diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency service on heavy-duty diesel engines, heavy trucks, fleet vehicles, and industrial/oilfield support equipment.

**Service Area: **This position covers our Odessa and Midland, TX service area. Candidates must be local to either Odessa or Midland — *we are open to applicants based in either city. *

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Repair and service frac pumps, drilling equipment, oilfield support equipment, and other industrial machinery as needed

- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems

- Repair heavy-duty trucks, fleet vehicles, and industrial equipment

- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical/multiplex systems

- Perform suspension, steering, brake, cooling, fuel, DEF, emissions, and HVAC repairs

- Use OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software to find root causes — not just swap parts

- Complete preventive maintenance and accurately document all diagnostics and repairs

- Source parts and communicate requirements efficiently

- Maintain a clean, organized mobile work environment and provide excellent customer service

**Experience with one or more of the following: **Frac Equipment, High-Pressure Pumps, Pump-Down Equipment, Oilfield Service Equipment, Drilling Rigs, Heavy-Duty Diesel Trucks, Fleet Vehicles, Industrial Diesel Engines, Hydraulic/PTO/Air Brake/Trailer Systems, and DEF & Emissions Systems.

*Technicians provide their own standard hand tools; Transwest supplies specialty tooling and diagnostic software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- 6+ years of heavy equipment or diesel engine repair experience - Required

- Proven diagnostic ability on complex hydraulic and electrical systems

- Strong background in oilfield equipment -* Preferred*

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Able to pass pre-employment screening and any customer site requirements

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience with Cummins INSITE, DAVIE, CAT ET, Allison DOC, ServiceRanger, JPRO, or similar

- Fullbay shop management software experience

- Welding / fabrication experience, CDL, or ASE certifications
