DC Office Wave Coordinator
:
The DC Office Wave Coordinator monitors and orchestrates the flow of orders through the Distribution Center. The objective for this position is to ensure customers' orders are being processed through the DC. The DC Office Wave Coordinator will provide directions on the allocation of orders from the host system and waving of orders in the warehouse management system based on determined volume criteria. Th DC Office Wave Coordinator will follow up on the orders within the WMOS and provide updates to the Fulfillment and Shipping departments as to the status of orders. Responsibilities - Review allocations and compare available volume to the planned volume and provide direction for nightly waving of orders
- Run allocations and waving of customer orders for daily priorities and same day shipping
- Prepare wave labels and control the distribution of labels to the fulfilment department
- Review open orders and provide status updates to the Fulfilment and Shipping departments at the beginning and the middle of the shift
- Manage open order status while communicating necessary deadlines to the operations team
- Work with the Production Team on the progress of orders as well as special allocations and customer requests
- Maintain label stock for all shipping labels
- Manage and work as back up for nightshift wave coordinator
Requirements - Competent with MS Office; Email, Excel, Word
- Proficient in the use of Manhattan WM System for Waving, Managing, and Researching orders
- Ability to use company reporting tools for additional research as necessary; Business Objects, Tableau, Skylight
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (in person and via phone/radio) with peers, management, contractors, and vendors
- Able to work flexible shifts and scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented with a strong focus on customer service, problem solving, and ongoing learning and growth
- Self-driven and able to work successfully with limited supervision
- Focused on continuous improvement
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in conditions typically found in the Distribution Centers, hot in the summer, cold in the winter.
- Able to walk for an extensive period while working in the facility
- Able to reach over shoulder heights and bend or stoop below the waist, as well as abilities to engage in
repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement as well as occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds. Competencies: Education: - High School Diploma - Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience: - 2 to 5+ years in operational management positions
- 2 to 5+ years supervising and training 30+ employees
Skill Requirements: - Able to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English - Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
- Perform mathematic functions as well as problem solving
- Must be able to train and cross train new and existing employees based on their skill level and learning ability
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Manhattan WM, Business Objects, Jesta and ADP skills a plus
- Knowledge of standard operating practices in logistics and working with various freight companies
