This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cultivating new business, managing an established portfolio, and building lasting partnerships that contribute to both customer success and Bank profitability. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sugar Land TX.

What You'll Do

Grow Commercial Relationships

  • Develop new business opportunities with prospective customers while deepening relationships with existing clients.
  • Build and maintain a balanced portfolio of commercial loans, operating accounts, treasury management services, and deposit products.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor by identifying customer needs and delivering tailored banking solutions.
  • Consistently provide knowledgeable, responsive, and exceptional customer service.

Drive Lending & Deposit Growth

  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies that support Bank growth objectives.
  • Establish goals for commercial loan production, deposit growth, fee income, and profitability.
  • Generate and expand low-cost deposit relationships, including business checking, savings, money market, and treasury management services.
  • Support the Bank's financial goals through growth in both depository balances and quality loan volume.

Manage a High-Quality Portfolio

  • Analyze the financial condition of prospective and existing customers.
  • Evaluate loan opportunities and determine the feasibility of credit requests.
  • Structure and present loan recommendations to appropriate personnel and/or the Director Loan Committee.
  • Maintain strong portfolio quality by proactively managing past due relationships, overdrafts, policy exceptions, and documentation exceptions.
  • Monitor customer relationships to identify opportunities for expanded lending and deposit services.

Lead Performance & Accountability

  • Monitor achievement of established budgets and business objectives.
  • Be accountable for performance related to portfolio growth, deposit acquisition, profitability, and credit quality.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coach team members to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.
  • Recommend and implement strategies that improve team performance and customer outcomes.

Collaborate for Success

  • Partner closely with colleagues across lending, treasury management, retail banking, and operations to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in department marketing and pipeline meetings to discuss current relationships, loan opportunities, deposit growth initiatives, and prospects.
  • Ensure customers receive professional, efficient, and integrated banking solutions.

Represent the Bank in the Community

  • Serve as an ambassador for the Bank by actively participating in community organizations, networking events, and local business functions.
  • Build visibility and strengthen the Bank's presence in the markets we serve.
  • Educate current and prospective customers on the full range of the Bank's lending, deposit, and treasury management offerings.

What You Bring

  • Passion for business development and relationship management.
  • Proven ability to generate both commercial loan and deposit growth.
  • Strong financial analysis and credit evaluation skills.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to balance growth opportunities with risk management.
  • Collaborative approach and a desire to contribute to a high-performing team culture.
