Staff Software Engineer

T his is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays .

Our ideal candidate will be comfortable designing and leading very complex problems, including navigating projects with ambiguous parameters across teams.

As a staff engineer within the portfolio, you will be leading a team to help our learners onboard onto our platform, identify their learning goals, find the right learning content for them, and enhance their skills. We do this by leveraging our platform from recommendations, skills guidance, and GenAI, to name a few. You would be instrumental in driving experiences that enable learners to achieve their goals and improve their lives through learning.
What you'll be doing
Implementing product features using your expert skills in ReactJS, Typescript, GraphQL, CSS, MobX (or similar libraries), NextJS (or similar framework), Webpack, NPM, DataDog (or similar tools), accessibility best practices and measuring web performance to meet our team's objectives in service of our users.
Applying exceptional analytical problem solving, cross-functional communication, and systems thinking to ensure smooth execution of product features in your team and with other teams in service of our users.
Leading the optimization of code and processes to help your team achieve their goals.
Designing, leading, coordinating, executing, and delivering very complex projects with quality and at scale across your pod and others.
Identifying, managing and executing solutions for complexity across teams.
Creating and leveraging dashboards to ensure quality of our experiences, our experiences are solving business problems, and our experiences are meeting our user’s needs.
What you’ll have

Technical expertise in ReactJS, Typescript, GraphQL, CSS, MobX (or similar libraries), NextJS (or similar framework), Webpack, NPM, DataDog (or similar tools), accessibility best practices and measuring web performance
Exceptional skills in analytical problem solving, cross-functional communication, and systems thinking.
Ability to break very complex problems and projects to deliverable milestones.
Ability to work independently across domains and lead execution of a team on complex features across pods.
Ability to design solutions for very complex problems and lead your team to deliver those solutions while working with other teams effectively.
