Position Summary

The Deloitte University production team produces live learning events at Deloitte University, using cutting-edge audio, video, and lighting technologies to provide all attendees with memorable learning experience. The production team works behind the scenes, setting the benchmark for executive experiences across Deloitte's national learning campus.

As part of this team, the Audio Engineer 2 at Deloitte University is an architect of audio excellence and is responsible for audio delivery, from system design and mixing to team development and technical troubleshooting. The Audio Engineer 2 supports production with top-tier mixes and ensures all audio elements reinforce a seamless, immersive event experience.

As an experienced Audio Engineer 2, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. Work you'll do/Responsibilities
  • Assist audio mixing engineers with secondary support on large event productions.
  • Serve as mixing engineer for main small event programming.; oversee the configuration, calibration, and live mix for multiple concurrent events.
  • Partner with production and technical staff to define detailed audio requirements, select equipment, and execute setups tailored to each show.
  • Conduct pre-event technical rehearsals and run-throughs with speakers, presenters, and technical staff.
  • Support the maintaining of,inventory and , and ensure the operational readiness of all audio equipment (wireless mics, mixing consoles, recording devices, etc.).
  • Conduct pre-show testing and monitor mixes; manage live cues and resolve any audio issues during rehearsals and events.
  • Coordinate the setup, testing, operation, and strike of all audio resources.
  • Document standards, lessons learned and contribute to post-event reviews.
  • Build a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in live, hybrid, or broadcast event production (corporate, agency, educational, or entertainment sector).
  • Proficiency with large format, mixing consoles, wireless equipment, audio networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience supporting executive-level or high-visibility events.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and calm under pressure.
  • Strong communicator and team collaborator; able to give and receive direction effectively.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, Audio/Visual Production, Media Technology, Communications, a related field or relevant experience.
  • Must be local to Dallas, TX and this role will require availability and delivery that aligns to the program schedule across a 7-day week (some weekends included based on business needs).
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
