Commercial Building Engineer (Contract)

Location: Downtown Dallas

Duration: 3–6 Month Contract

Pay: $32.00–$34.00 per hour (DOE)

Seeking a Commercial Building Engineer to support a commercial office building in Downtown Dallas for a 3–6 month contract assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational activities to ensure reliability of building systems.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems including DDC and pneumatic controls, plumbing, electrical systems, access controls, and fire/life safety systems.
• Complete general building maintenance and repairs such as lighting, ceilings, doors and hardware, flooring, garages, and parking areas.
• Maintain accurate departmental records and documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to service calls.
• Support construction and tenant improvement projects by reviewing documentation, performing system checks, and assisting with inspections.
• Collaborate with Property Management on operations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial office building maintenance experience.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
