About The Company

The company is a rapidly scaling leader in the commercial building products industry, delivering engineered solutions that protect critical structures—from hospitals and data centers to K–12 schools and storm shelters. Its products are trusted by architects, engineers, contractors, and building owners to meet stringent code requirements and ensure long-term performance.

Following nearly 2x year-over-year revenue growth and continued expansion across multiple U.S. facilities, the organization is investing heavily in operational leadership to support increasing demand, strengthen supply chain resilience, and scale production capacity heading into 2026 and beyond.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategic and hands-on Director of Operations who will own manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics across a fast-growing construction materials platform.

You’ll be responsible for driving throughput, quality, cost control, and service levels across third-party production facilities, suppliers, and distribution networks. This leader will balance executive-level planning with floor-level execution—building scalable systems while ensuring daily operational excellence.

If you thrive in growth environments, enjoy solving complex operational challenges, and know how to align manufacturing performance with revenue goals, this is your opportunity to build and scale a multi-site operations engine.

What You’ll Do

Manufacturing Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple third-party production facilities, suppliers, and warehouse locations

  • Ensure output meets engineering specifications and applicable industry standards

  • Reduce lead times and production costs through scheduling discipline, process control, and vendor management

  • Partner with Engineering on new product introduction (NPI), design validation, and process optimization

  • Improve throughput, yield, and on-time performance across facilities

Supply Chain Management

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain planning, including forecasting, production planning, and capacity modeling

  • Ensure raw material availability through proactive procurement strategies

  • Optimize inventory to balance working capital, service levels, and production continuity

  • Negotiate supplier pricing, lead times, and service agreements

  • Implement risk mitigation strategies (dual sourcing, safety stock planning, contingency logistics)

Logistics & Distribution

  • Oversee inbound/outbound freight operations and carrier performance

  • Ensure on-time, damage-free delivery to distributors, contractors, and OEM customers

  • Optimize warehouse operations, material handling, and finished goods storage

  • Improve transportation efficiency through route optimization and freight consolidation

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent initiatives to eliminate waste and reduce cycle times

  • Standardize SOPs, quality checkpoints, and work instructions across facilities

  • Identify automation and technology upgrades to enhance efficiency and safety

  • Drive data-backed operational improvements across the value chain

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Own compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and industry-specific standards

  • Lead safety programs, audits, and corrective action initiatives

  • Manage operational risk related to equipment reliability, material variability, and workforce planning

Financial & Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and manage operating budgets and capital expenditure plans

  • Analyze production metrics, material usage, logistics costs, and margin performance

  • Support long-term facility expansion and capacity planning initiatives

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Lead fulfillment managers, warehouse teams, and customer service personnel

  • Build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

  • Strengthen alignment between operations, engineering, sales, and customer service

You’d Be a Great Fit If You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology, or related field

  • 8–12+ years of operational leadership experience in manufacturing environments

  • Background in construction materials, sheet metal, plastics, or process-driven production settings

  • Proven success improving throughput, reducing scrap, and managing cost-sensitive operations

  • Strong expertise in production planning, logistics, equipment maintenance, and supplier management

  • Experience leading multi-site or distributed manufacturing operations

  • Analytical fluency with production metrics, cost modeling, and margin analysis

  • ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred)

  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically

Preferred Experience

  • Sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, extrusion, or related processes

  • Familiarity with ASTM, ICCES, or other construction material compliance frameworks

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification

  • Experience supporting sales teams serving distributors, contractors, or OEM customers

Why Join

  • Executive-level ownership across manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics

  • Opportunity to scale operations during a period of rapid revenue growth

  • Direct visibility and partnership with executive leadership

  • Comprehensive benefits package including:

    • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees

    • 401(k) with employer contribution

    • Generous PTO and paid holidays
