Field Service Technician

- Perform installation/pulling of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and associated equipment.
- Perform service calls. Including but not limited to diagnose, recommend, and implement appropriate solutions for surface problems. Including problems with electrical issues, gas-locking pumps, and insufficient fluid production.
- Safely operate motor vehicles to and from work sites, load and unload tools and equipment with or without assistance.
- Maintain mechanical performance of truck used in transportation to and from the field.
- Adjust quickly to changing job assignments/requirements and the flexibility to work overtime with little or no advance notice.
- Comply with Company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Complete daily timesheet of hours worked.
- Collaborate frequently with internal and external customers.
- Train and coach new hires in basic principles; train and mentor lower-level technician at the well site.
- 2 years of experience
- Can perform moderately complex pulls and installs independently
- Strong customer relations skills including the ability to explain and train
- Basic knowledge of industrial safety
- Basic knowledge of proper use of hand tools
- Basic knowledge of wiring and cabling
- Ability to execute strategies and initiatives

- Work in excess of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, as required to meet business needs
- Work in an unsupervised environment
- Read, write, and speak English fluently

- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to customer or other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Substantial movement (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to use a computer.
- The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
- The employee is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
- Indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. Activities occur indoors and outdoors.
- Extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
- Hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals.
- Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
- Oils. There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
