Day Supervisor

We are seeking to hire a Day Supervisor . You will be responsible for supporting the Account Manager in overseeing daily janitorial operations, ensuring high-quality cleaning services, maintaining customer satisfaction, and leading frontline team members. This role requires a hands-on approach, actively working alongside staff to ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, and efficient service delivery. The Day Supervisor serves as a key liaison between employees, customers, and management while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Assist the Account Manager with the daily management of janitorial operations.

• Provide hands-on leadership by working alongside staff and assisting with cleaning duties as needed.

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure facility cleanliness and compliance with company and customer standards.

• Monitor work schedules, staffing levels, and task completion to ensure operational efficiency.

• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain service quality.

Customer Service & Client Relations

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and facility occupants.

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests, concerns, and service issues.

• Conduct regular customer follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and address opportunities for improvement.

• Support the Account Manager in maintaining contractual service requirements and customer expectations.

• Represent the company professionally and promote a customer-focused culture.

Leadership & Team Building

• Supervise, coach, and motivate janitorial staff to achieve performance objectives.

• Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work culture.

• Assist with employee onboarding, training, and ongoing development.

• Recognize employee achievements and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.

• Lead by example through professionalism, work ethic, and adherence to company standards.

Communication & Coordination

• Maintain clear and effective communication with employees, customers, and management.

• Conduct shift meetings and communicate operational updates, expectations, and safety information.

• Document and report operational issues, corrective actions, and employee performance concerns.

• Collaborate with the Account Manager and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Problem Solving & Quality Assurance

• Proactively identify service issues and implement timely corrective actions.

• Investigate customer complaints and employee concerns, providing effective resolutions.

• Monitor quality assurance programs and ensure consistent service delivery.

• Make informed decisions in fast-paced environments while maintaining customer satisfaction and operational standards.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.

• Conduct safety observations and promote safe work practices.

• Report accidents, incidents, and hazards promptly and accurately.

• Assist in maintaining regulatory and site-specific compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility services experience required.

• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of janitorial equipment, cleaning procedures, and safety practices.

• Proficiency with basic computer applications and reporting tools.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in various environmental conditions and perform physical cleaning tasks as needed.

Benefits:

• Full Time

• Pay rate: $22.00/hr

• Hours: 40 hrs/week, 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
