Manual Tester (Early Career)
We are currently looking for a Manual Tester for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project. The selected candidate will join a collaborative quality assurance team focused on testing and validating Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications. Working closely with developers, business analysts, and end users, this role will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of business-critical solutions that enhance organizational operations.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications for Microsoft Dynamics applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing of Dynamics 365 modules, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with developers for prompt resolution and retesting.
- Analyze requirements in partnership with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business processes into effective test scenarios.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, including test results, coverage metrics, and quality status reports.
- Recommend enhancements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies to improve product quality and team efficiency.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks and emerging challenges as required to support the team's goals and organizational priorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 modules, workflows, and business processes.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or TestRail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics products within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, EasyRepro, RSAT, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 or QA-related certifications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Prior experience collaborating with VA stakeholders to optimize CRM workflows and enhance service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience implementing or supporting CRM systems within a federal agency environment.
- Proven knowledge of Department of Veterans Affairs operations, policies, and client-facing technology solutions.
