The Registration Scheduler is responsible for accurately scheduling patient appointments and completing patient registration processes while delivering excellent customer service. This role serves as a key point of contact between patients, providers, and clinical departments to ensure timely and efficient access to care.

Hospital Registration Specialist Details:

• Temporary position
• $18.98 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )

Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments according to provider availability and department guidelinesCollect and verify patient demographic, insurance, and referral informationPerform pre-registration and insurance verification to ensure accuracy and eligibilityCommunicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and policies to patientsMaintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) systemResolve scheduling conflicts and coordinate with clinical staff as neededEnsure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standardsProvide courteous, professional customer service in person and over the phone

Hospital Registration Specialist Qualifications:

Strong organizational and time-management skills Customer service–oriented mindset Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Team-oriented with the ability to work independently, High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, or patient access preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Proficiency with computers and EMR systems Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, depending on patient population
