Trust Real Estate Associate

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Trust Real Estate Associate is responsible for supporting the Trust Real Estate Manager in managing and overseeing all activities related to farm, ranch, real property, and mineral assets in the Trust Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide exceptional customer service to all trust and bank clients. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
2. Develop a direct and professional working relationship with clients, tenants, and staff. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
3. Draft clear and concise client communication letters and other client documents. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
4. Support set-up and operation of real estate and mineral accounts. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time.
5. Assist with recordkeeping, lease preparation, FSA and NRCS compliance, Insurance renewals, Ad Valorem Tax payments, code daily income and disbursements, filing, and occasional property inspections. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
6. Actively working to uncover any potential problem areas in the completion of these projects in an on-time, on-budget manner. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
7. Identify and implement methods of improving functional and departmental efficiencies that could reduce risks, improve quality of service, and/or accommodate additional growth. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
8. Ability to work extended hours when necessary to reach a goal. This duty is performed as needed.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, deliver results, and respond quickly and effectively to requests. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
10. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
11. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training, as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.
12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane, algebra, solid geometry and trigonometry.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Prior experience in agriculture is preferred.
- Strong analytical ability and effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
