Security - All We Do

Advanced SENTRY is seeking an experienced, highly connected Vice President, Data Center Infrastructure Solutions & Technical Enablement to help lead the expansion of our data center infrastructure, technical workforce, strategic partnerships, and integrated security solutions.

This is a hands-on executive leadership position for an individual who understands how modern data centers are built, operated, protected, staffed, and supported — and who has established relationships throughout the data center, cloud, colocation, telecommunications, infrastructure, and technology ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical infrastructure experience with the ability to develop people, establish repeatable processes, build strategic relationships, open new business opportunities, and translate technical customer requirements into scalable solutions.

The Opportunity

Advanced SENTRY is expanding beyond traditional security services through our Security - All We Do model.

Our approach brings together:

  • Physical security
  • Data center infrastructure support
  • Technical workforce solutions
  • Critical facility operations
  • Cybersecurity coordination and response
  • Access and asset protection
  • Incident and emergency response
  • Strategic workforce deployment

The Vice President of Data Center Infrastructure Solutions & Technical Enablement will play a key role in building and scaling this model.

This individual will work across operations, recruiting, training, sales, strategic partnerships, infrastructure services, and security leadership to develop a repeatable Advanced SENTRY capability for supporting mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Data Center Infrastructure Leadership

Provide technical leadership for Advanced SENTRY's data center and infrastructure services, including:

  • Data center deployments and expansions
  • Rack and stack operations
  • Structured cabling
  • Fiber and copper infrastructure
  • Server and network commissioning
  • Smart Hands and Remote Hands services
  • Hardware deployments and decommissions
  • Network and infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Power and cooling readiness
  • Asset and inventory management
  • Hardware lifecycle and RMA coordination
  • Data center moves, adds, changes, and expansions
  • Colocation and vendor coordination

Help Advanced SENTRY evaluate customer requirements and develop the appropriate technical workforce, processes, documentation, and execution strategy for each engagement.

Strategic Relationships & Business Development

A major responsibility of this position is developing and leveraging relationships throughout the data center and critical-infrastructure ecosystem.

The VP will:

  • Develop relationships with cloud providers, colocation operators, data center owners, infrastructure companies, contractors, technology vendors, ISPs, and strategic partners
  • Identify and develop new infrastructure and security opportunities
  • Create introductions between Advanced SENTRY and key industry decision-makers
  • Support executive-level customer meetings
  • Participate in technical discovery and solution-development discussions
  • Help convert relationships into strategic partnerships and revenue opportunities
  • Serve as a technical advisor during the sales process
  • Assist with solution scoping, staffing strategies, proposals, and statements of work
  • Expand Advanced SENTRY's visibility and credibility throughout the data center industry

This position requires someone who can build relationships at both the technical and executive level .

Technical Workforce Development

Work directly with Advanced SENTRY's recruiting organization to build a scalable pipeline of qualified infrastructure professionals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing technical requirements for data center positions
  • Developing technician competency standards
  • Creating technical interview and screening criteria
  • Participating in technical candidate evaluations
  • Identifying high-potential technicians
  • Establishing technician levels and career progression
  • Supporting recruiting teams in understanding technical job requirements
  • Developing workforce plans for infrastructure projects and customer deployments

Training & Technical Enablement

Develop and lead Advanced SENTRY's technical training and enablement program.

The VP will help create standardized training for:

  • Data Center Technicians
  • Deployment Technicians
  • Smart Hands Technicians
  • Network and Infrastructure Technicians
  • Lead Technicians

Training should include both classroom and practical instruction covering topics such as:

  • Rack and stack procedures
  • Structured cabling

  • Network equipment installation
  • Port maps and rack elevations
  • Power and cooling awareness
  • Hardware troubleshooting
  • Linux and infrastructure fundamentals
  • Change management
  • MOP execution
  • Incident escalation
  • Documentation standards
  • Data center safety and customer-site conduct

A key objective will be developing train-the-trainer capabilities so Advanced SENTRY can continuously develop qualified technical personnel at scale.

Process Development & Standardization

Create repeatable operational standards that can be used across Advanced SENTRY infrastructure engagements.

Develop and maintain:

  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Methods of Procedure
  • Deployment checklists

  • Cabling standards
  • Asset-management procedures
  • Site documentation
  • Customer acceptance and project closeout processes

The successful candidate will turn technical knowledge and field experience into systems that can be taught, measured, repeated, and scaled.

Integrated Physical & Cyber Security

Advanced SENTRY believes protecting critical infrastructure requires more than simply protecting the front door.

Modern data centers require multiple layers of protection involving people, facilities, infrastructure, systems, vendors, contractors, assets, and information.

This position will work with Advanced SENTRY's physical security and cybersecurity resources to help develop integrated protection strategies involving:

  • Physical facility security

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 10+ years of data center, infrastructure, cloud, network, or mission-critical facility experience
  • Significant experience supporting large-scale data center deployments
  • Strong understanding of server, network, rack, cabling, power, and infrastructure environments
  • Experience working with cloud providers, hyperscalers, colocation facilities, ISPs, technology vendors, or enterprise data centers
  • Demonstrated experience developing technicians or technical teams
  • Experience developing SOPs, MOPs, runbooks, deployment procedures, and operational standards
