Logistics Process Specialist

: Description:

Position Summary: The Logistics Process Specialist is responsible for improving and developing processes within Logistics and coordinate with other departments that are part of the processes as well as working on gap analyzed using lean methods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Ensures established operational procedures are being followed for all Logistics processes, from incoming through outgoing shipments
• Drives process improvements within Logistics as well as other departments that are related to the Logistics processes
• Works closely with Logistics Leads and Supervisors on process improvements and necessary changes
• Performs Go to GEMBA walks in all Logistics areas to gain a common understanding of the team member's process steps
• Analyzes process gaps based on discovered problems or out of target KPIs at the shopfloor using lean methods like A3s or 8Ds
• Supports creating KPIs to visualize necessary improvements and the progress
• Maintains and supports 5S standards in all Logistics areas. Assists Kaizen blitzes and lead improvement projects in the Logistics areas.
• Supports and represents Logistics in Lean projects
• Updates and maintains Process and Work Instructions in coordination with Logistics' leadership
• Responsible for time studies for each Logistics process

Education/Experience:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Logistics or in related field preferred and 3 years of experience in a Logistics/Warehouse environment

Experience:

• Ability to Plan and solve problems with little or no guidance
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks appropriately
• SAP and MS Office experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good attendance record
