Staff Accountant
- Responsible for month-end financial reporting and accounting tasks, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations with an emphasis in lease accounting.
- Maintain documentation of accounting processes/procedures and related internal control framework.
- Support other departments to reach organization goals and deadlines.
- Ad hoc projects to assist with other internal projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Ability to self-motivate, detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Possesses fundamental accounting knowledge.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills.
- Strong communication skills, must be able to work and communicate with different departments across the company.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's for a large volume of data.
- CPA or pursuing CPA designation.
- Internal control and SOX knowledge.
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience in multi-legal entity environment.
- Proficiency in Large ERP environment, Viewpoint software a plus.
- Knowledge of ASC 842 accounting concepts and familiarity with lease contracts strongly preferred.
