ER RN Job Details – Richardson, TX

• Location: Richardson, Texas 75082 (Dallas area healthcare job)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Unit: Emergency Department (ER)
• Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Required
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Facility: 43-room Emergency Department, daily census of 150
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1730 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (AHA preferred; military acceptable)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience and Trauma Level II ER experience
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to provide care for all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency department
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for diverse emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and manage advanced airway and IV therapies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, social services)
• Accurately document all care and interventions in the Epic EMR system
• Participate in self-scheduling and fulfill weekend/holiday shift requirements
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
