OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE
We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact.
As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place. THE TEAM
You will be part of a dynamic Culinary team within the Kitchen, reporting to the Sous Chef and working closely with the Kitchen Supervisor and fellow chefs. The team is dedicated to delivering exceptional food quality and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and collaboration across all kitchen operations. YOUR ROLE
As a Cook I, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality hot food items across designated food and beverage outlets. You will ensure all dishes are produced to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. - Prepare, cook, and present hot food items including appetizers, entrées, sauces, and side dishes in line with established standards and plating guidelines
- Set up and maintain your work station with proper mise en place, ensuring readiness for service
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and production schedules to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation standards in all work areas and equipment
- Monitor inventory levels, communicate shortages, and support cost control through minimizing waste
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and provide support during busy service periods
- You have experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally within a luxury hotel or high-quality restaurant environment
- You demonstrate strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in food preparation
- You remain calm under pressure and can prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- You have a solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures
- You are a team player who collaborates effectively while also working with minimal supervision
- You can communicate clearly in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Culinary certification is preferred
As part of our team, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood. OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard – and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them – and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
