Accounting Supervisor

Duties:

• Manage accounting functions to include GL, AP, AR, payroll, and cost accounting
• Mentor accounting professionals, fostering accuracy, accountability, and collaboration in a fast-paced service industry environment
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring alignment with service industry standards for accurate and transparent reporting
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines; coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, leveraging industry-specific software to enhance efficiency in day-to-day accounting and reporting operations
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures tailored to the oil and gas service industry, ensuring consistency and compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, with 5+ years of experience in the oilfield service industry
• Strong financial operations and heavy emphasis on service contract billing, manufacturing, or construction
• NetSuite preferred; advanced Excel and financial modeling for service project analysis
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a dynamic/deadline-driven oilfield service setting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communications skills
• In-depth understanding of GAAP and service industry regulatory requirements, including revenue recognition and compliance standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, including project-based deadlines and reporting schedules

• Reports to Assistant Controller
• 10 including this role in accounting department
• Role open as there is a new CFO and the team is expanding
• In-Office with ½ days on Friday’s
