About the Role
JANUS is seeking an experienced Army Requirements & Systems Analyst to support enterprise Army programs. In this role, you will capture and manage requirements, translate mission needs into actionable system features, and ensure solutions are aligned with Army readiness and modernization objectives. You will work directly with senior Army stakeholders, software development teams, and cross-functional partners to provide the clarity, documentation, and analysis needed to deliver high-quality systems and data-driven decision support.
This individual is responsible for determining the requirements that serve as the bedrock for designing, developing, and delivering a comprehensive software platform that integrates diverse data analysis, management, and decision-support capabilities, enabling U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command to tackle a wide variety of data-related challenges. The tool must have an extensible framework and advanced modules, and support work in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML), real-time metrics generation, and streamlined data-driven decision-making, offering tailored solutions to meet evolving mission requirements across a broad spectrum of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Elicitation & Management: Gather, decompose, and document requirements that map Army mission needs to technical solutions. Define acceptance criteria, user stories, and use cases while maintaining traceability across deliverables and outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Army staff, Product Owners, and Subject Matter Experts to refine requirements, model workflows, and ensure alignment with mission priorities. Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and Army leadership.
- Documentation & Analysis: Produce and maintain CONOPS, workflows, traceability matrices, test cases, and reports. Conduct impact analysis when requirements or timelines shift, providing structured recommendations.
- Data & Decision Support: Analyze requirements and outputs to inform Army decision-making. Develop user guides, dashboards, and executive-ready briefings to support planning, resourcing, and operational outcomes.
- Change & Release Support: Participate in Agile development cycles, demonstrations, and Government Acceptance Testing. Translate user feedback into actionable changes for development teams.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all requirements and deliverables comply with Army standards for security (OPSEC/IA/PII), training prerequisites, and information handling.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Engage in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups, and Army governance forums to coordinate requirements, resolve risks, and track progress to mission milestones.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business/Systems Analysis, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent Army experience may substitute.
- Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in requirements or business/systems analysis supporting Army programs.
- Demonstrated experience working with senior Army staff or major command headquarters.
- Familiarity with Army planning processes, event-driven deliverables, and related systems (e.g., SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Proven ability to define acceptance criteria, create test cases, and maintain requirements traceability.
- Knowledge of enterprise/system architectures, data modeling, and Agile methods preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; able to simplify complexity into actionable insights.
- Excellent oral and written communication; comfortable briefing leadership and facilitating stakeholder sessions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with modeling/design tools (Visio, UML/SysML, MagicDraw) a plus.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, with the ability to adapt to shifting requirements and timelines.
- Salary - $82k
