SDWAN Design Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a SDWAN Design Engineer for a Contract with a client in Findlay, OH/San Antonio, TX/Denver, CO. The ideal candidate design and implement resilient SD-WAN and enterprise network architectures while optimizing performance and scalability.

Rate Range: The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Denver: $54 – $85 / Hr

• Texas: $50 – $80 / Hr

• Ohio: $51 – $75 / Hr

SDWAN Design Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design and implement enterprise WAN and SD-WAN architectures to ensure high availability and scalability.

• Optimize network performance and resiliency through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.

• Lead fault analysis and resolve complex LAN/WAN issues across distributed environments.

• Establish and enforce network security policies, access controls, and compliance standards.

• Collaborate with network architects to plan upgrades and modernize connectivity solutions.

• Manage configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and related network devices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s preferred).

• Minimum 7–10 years in enterprise network engineering, with at least 3+ years in SD-WAN design and implementation.

• Proven expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and advanced troubleshooting using tools like SolarWinds/Wireshark.

• Strong experience in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and implementing network security policies.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $80.00 per hour
