Registered Nurse-Associate
Provides direct nursing care to patients in a healthcare facility. Responsible for preparing equipment and aiding physician during treatment and examination of patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct nursing care to patients in a clinic setting to include: Preparing equipment and aiding physician during treatment and examination of patients, performing complex medical testing and providing interpretations of results, consulting with physicians and implementing treatment plans.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments, observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions.
- Provides clinical oversight to Medical Assistants and LVNs.
- Develops protocols and procedure manuals.
- Performs daily maintenance checks and the preparation of rooms, instruments, supplies and performs or schedules routine maintenance of equipment.
- Documents patient care and treatment and assists with training of staff.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Functions within the required nursing process as defined by the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
- Supports the mission, vision and patient promise throughout all interactions.
- Communicates effectively, written and verbally.
- Analytical thinking � this role requires analyzing information and using logic to coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing the highest quality of care to the patient.
- Meets all training and competency requirements.
EDUCATION:
Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of professional nursing experience is required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current Texas RN license required; CPR/BLS required.
Required SkillsUp to one (1) year of nursing experience is required.
