Salary: $45,000 – $65,000 per year (based on experience)

About the Position

We are seeking a motivated and capable Legal Assistant to work directly under the supervising attorney in our Houston (Galleria area) office. This is a fully onsite position and requires daily in-office attendance.

This role offers hands-on experience and direct mentorship, with the opportunity to grow into a paralegal role over time.

Our immediate and primary needs are for someone who can independently manage medical records and handle discovery. Other experience is welcome, but proficiency in these two areas is essential.

Immediate Responsibilities

• Order, track, and organize medical and billing records

• Communicate with medical providers regarding records requests

• Prepare, propound, and respond to written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission)

• Organize discovery responses and maintain case files

• Calendar discovery and records deadlines

• Maintain organized digital and physical files

Additional Responsibilities (as skills and experience allow)

• Draft correspondence and basic pleadings

• Assist with case preparation and trial preparation

• Communicate with clients regarding case updates

• Provide general administrative and legal support

Qualifications

• Experience ordering and organizing medical records (required)

• Experience drafting, propounding, and answering discovery (required)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

• Professional written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Spanish language skills are a plus but not required
