Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, shape, or form metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate press brake machines (manual and/or CNC) to produce parts per blueprints and work orders.
• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and punches based on material type and thickness.
• Perform quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure precision and accuracy of bends.
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or defects.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and job travelers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and housekeeping standards.
• Complete production documentation and record any deviations or issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any major mechanical issues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 5 years of experience operating a press brake (CNC experience is a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong math and measuring skills.
• Familiarity with different types of metals and their bending characteristics.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Plate and Angle Roll experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CNC press brake brands such as Pacific, Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, or Cincinnati.
• Forklift certification.
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing floor environment.
• May involve exposure to noise, heat, and sharp tools/materials.
• Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots required.
