Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Physician – Texas

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Highlights:
- Compact, manageable emergency department with 10 beds serving approximately 31 patients per day
- Level IV Trauma designation with annual ED volume of 11,000 visits
- Low admission rate (6.9%) and average of 1.2 patients per hour
- EMR system: Meditech
- 6-month initial contract with potential for locums-to-permanent or permanent placement
- Comprehensive specialty back-up including Hospitalist, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Podiatry
- Travel, hotel, and rental car coverage provided
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM only)
- Active Texas medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility
- ACLS certification required
- ATLS and PALS certifications preferred
- Texas candidates strongly preferred for locums assignments

- Pediatric patient population approximately 22% of total volume
- Transfer rate of 6.1% with strong specialty support available
