Landscape Technician

The Landscape Technician performs routine landscape maintenance services at commercial properties and client facilities. The role focuses on maintaining safe, clean, and visually appealing outdoor environments through mowing, trimming, edging, planting, and general landscape upkeep.

This position works as part of a landscape crew and follows direction from the Crew Lead to ensure landscaping services are completed efficiently and according to company quality standards. The Landscape Technician operates landscaping equipment and performs physical outdoor work in a fast-paced field environment.

Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
Landscape Maintenance
• Perform routine landscaping tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and blowing debris.
• Maintain lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas at commercial properties.
• Remove weeds, leaves, and debris to maintain property appearance.
• Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and seasonal landscaping materials.
• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, and hedge trimmers.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and according to company procedures.
• Report equipment problems or maintenance needs to the Crew Lead.
• Maintain landscaped areas to meet company and client quality standards.
• Identify potential landscaping issues such as damaged plants, irrigation concerns, or safety hazards and report them to the Crew Lead.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain safe working practices while operating equipment or working near roadways, parking lots, or pedestrian areas.
• Assist with seasonal landscaping tasks such as mulching, fertilizing, or leaf removal.
• Support other landscaping or grounds maintenance activities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
• Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience operating landscaping equipment preferred.
