Maintenance Janitor
Overview
We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Janitor to support cleanliness and basic upkeep in a manufacturing and shop environment. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient production facility. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working around machinery, fabrication areas, and industrial materials.
Responsibilities
Clean and maintain manufacturing shop floors, production areas, offices, restrooms, and break rooms
Sweep, mop, and scrub shop floors, including removal of dust, debris, and metal shavings
Empty trash, scrap bins, and recycling containers safely and properly
Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies
Maintain clear walkways, exits, and work areas to support safety standards
Perform basic facility tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting maintenance issues
Safely use cleaning tools, equipment, and approved chemicals
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements in an industrial setting
Qualifications
Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred
Previous experience maintaining or supporting shop machinery preferred but not required
Comfortable working in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to safety and cleanliness
Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Work Environment
Indoor manufacturing and shop setting
Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment
Physical, hands-on role
Schedule
Day or evening shift
Overtime may be available based on facility needs
